My top 5 summer knitting patterns
I’ve picked my favorites from among my summer knitting patterns and written a few notes about why I love them! I also went through the Ravelry projects and selected some inspiring projects to share.

BLOOM
The Bloom Bandeau was my most-worn summer knit of 2023, and it’s on track to be number 1 for 2024 too. Super simple, all-over stockinette designed in the dreamy Purl Soho Cattail Silk, it layers beautifully under overalls and breezy dusters.

MOONCRUSH
The Mooncrush Tank is my color-blocked linen daydream from summer 2022, ready to make a splash in its third summer! This might be my favorite pattern I’ve ever designed — from the boxy silhouette to the intarsia charted across 9 sizes, it was such a fun challenge for me as a designer and I love seeing the color combinations y’all put together!

SPORTI
The Sporti Tank is my newest summer knit: a fitted all-over ribbed tank, designed to be worn on its own or under the Sporti Shrug. I love the contrast of the deep neck and wide racerback on this piece — a true wardrobe basic for year-round layering.

SOL
The Sol Tank was a special collaboration with Ritual Dyes released right at the start of the pandemic. This was one of the quickest patterns I ever designed — it just sort of came to me — and it felt restorative to put such a sweet pattern out into the world when everything felt so closed and uncertain.

STRATA
The Strata Vest is a another wardrobe staple pattern, designed to work equally well as a tank or a vest. Released in January 2023, I’ve loved seeing all the ways folks style this pattern year-round!

Wishing you a cool drink in the hot sun this weekend, preferably with loved ones and knitting to keep you company.
