I’m Jaq Cieslak and here are some things I do:

• Design size-inclusive knitting and sewing patterns
• Teach knitters and sewists how to make clothes to fit their bodies
• Think and talk about fat positive, gender neutral design
• Make fat/queer-affirming art (watercolor, photography, clothing)
• Bake really mediocre sourdough bread
• Care deeply, literally have never been chill a day in my life
• Invest in queer relationships, chosen family, & community

Notes from the studio is a newsletter, an archive, and a forum for sharing & engaging around all of this work, inspired by and rooted in my experience as a fat, nonbinary dyke committed to helping other fat queers find their way and find each other.
